In the heart of Kent - the Garden of England - we create refillable candles designed for calm, considered homes. Each piece in The Botanical Shed Collection is handmade in small batches using eco Jesmonite vessels and vegetable wax blends, bringing together sustainability, scent and timeless design.

Unlike traditional candles that are thrown away once finished, our refillable candles are designed to be used again and again. Simply replace the wax refill and continue enjoying your favourite scent in the same handcrafted vessel.

Why Choose Refillable Candles?

Refillable candles are a more sustainable way to enjoy home fragrance. Instead of glass jars (which are often not able to be recycled due to the type of glass used for candle) or ceramic pots, you keep the vessel and replace only the wax inert. This reduces waste and allows you to build a collection of scents within a design you already love.

Each refill contains up to 400ml (depending on The Shed Pot you have chosen) of vegetable wax and burns for up to 60 hours, offering a clean, steady flame and a beautifully balanced scent throw.

Handmade Jesmonite Candle Pots

Every candle vessel is hand-poured using eco Jesmonite, creating subtle variations in colour and swirl. Inspired by botanical tones and natural textures, each pot reflects the calm, garden-led aesthetic of Kent’s landscapes.

Our scents are crafted using a blend of essential oils and high-quality phthalate-free fragrance oils. Each blend is unique to The Scent Shed. From herbaceous greenhouse notes to grounding woodland blends, each fragrance is designed to evoke nature and emotional wellbeing.
